Hellborg Dealer/Prices

Just thinking out loud here but aside from the custom shop in NY is anybody else carrying the Hellborg amps in the US? What is the pre and power amps selling for new?
 
Yeah... I'm sticking to what I have right now... That's just out of my price range. :,(
 
Not necessarily. The preamp is the heart of the system. Basically everybody else except you will hear only the preamp (bass - pramp - FOH console). The power amp and cabinets are for your delight :-)

So you can buy just the preamp, and use the Xtreme as power am, and the cabinets you already have.
 
I was just curious to what the Hellborg system was running. It's just too far out of my league even for just the pre. Don't get me wrong. I really like my X-Treme but I sometimes wonder if I should have gone with a TubePath.
 
I can't believe how reasonable the prices actually are! Just looked at our country's distributor and they are extremely nice. You're in the same range as lower priced high-end audio equipment but it deserves to be there. Hell, it deserves to be a bit higher but I don't want to say that too loud lol! When I start playing out seriously again I'll be in the market for a Hellborg rig. I just wish there was a true Hellborg combo. The Pre and maybe 250watt amp with a 2x12 and the option for an extension cab. Anyways, enough typing on this phone and back to reading.

you can buy one in Europe prices for the pre are around 1300 Eur recently
 
Controling the speaker is important. The pre alone is a vast improvement to a normal rig but pairing it with the right speaker is important. I'm sure the Hellborg speakers are a huge part of the transparency the pre offers, since every speaker/cabinet will impart it's own sonic stamp on the tone. I can not stress how impressive the entire system is and how differently you will feel about your basses. Turns out, I like transparency for some stuff and a little color for other stuff. I really wish everyone could at least try it, if for no other reason than to hear the true sound of your bass and have that as an option. Wow, I never post this often in between practice. Back to it.
 
Thanks for all the input. Was curious to see what a Hellborg pre/power amp went for. Unfortunately, like I said earlier, it's out of my price league even after finding some pretty good deals out there.
