Headstock.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone one has had their headstock lacquered via a luthier and not direct from Warwick?!

If so how did it turn out? - interested to see any before and after pics....

Hi Buddy,

A skilled luthier can do a very good job, and the pics are not showing averything anyway. I think ask the luthier to show you another work, and you can judge it by yourself.
P.S. - We are using now a very thin UV finish, probably the luthier cannot do this, but he can do a good job...

Hi Florin,

Thanks for the advice, i normally do all my own set ups and re-wires but didn't fancy tackling a headstock respray.

I also own several Spector Euro's which obviously have a high gloss finish to the headstock, i personally think it looks so much better than the dull matte look which my Warwicks have. I will enquire with my local luthier to see what my options are and maybe if all goes well i will post a few before and after pics for any other members who maybe interested in doing likewise.
