Yes, that is a bit of a shame. I've never played Switzerland, actually. Seems to me that booking gigs there is not easy. Do you have any suggestions for places to play, for future reference?

Well, normally the German speaking part is more into metal than the French or Italian part, it's not totally true, but it comes down to demographics, the Swiss German part is much larger than the French or Italian parts combined.

What I would do is contact the concert organisers / festivals directly, they should be able to point you in the right direction. Here's a list of Metal festivals :
