Well, for Xmas I got Guitar Hero II. I am not usually one for tons of video games but this one is amazing. I was just wondering who else plays this and how they like it.

Only thing that is so hard is the controller is so damn small.

I have friends that come to my house every night and we battle.

its a hard game to explain, though in 2 player mode you can have 1 guy play the main guitar riffs and another guy play the bass riffs. The re-production on a lot of the songs (bass wise) isnt bad either.


for those who are interested, its for PS2 only.
 
I tried the first one at a tuba-player's house. I thought it was harder than playing the real deal on a guitar! It was fun and all, but I find real instruments easier
 
Great game!

GH2 actually has easier controls than GH1...the guitar responds more realistically to hammer-ons and pull-offs (and are thus easier). Which is good, because the songs themselves are considerably harder in GH2.

Oh, yeah, great fun! me and my wife are actually considering buying a TV, and PS2 just to play GH and GHII...

And I did try my hand at YYZ, but failed it halfway through at the easy setting... :p

We`ve played it in between recordings, just to keep warm. I think it`s excellent. It`s social, good training, and there are many cool songs I had forgotten existed, Thunder Kiss `95, among others.
 
When I was in the US this summer me and my brother went to Fry's Electronics practically every day just to play GHI. I haven't played GHII yet but we were almost considering buying a PS2 just to play it. It's very addictive.
