Great looking Vampyre

If they still produced the Vampyre SN, it would be a fair bit cheaper and probably as good. I know I'm loving mine...:)
 
Guitar Center and Musician's friend are own by the same people. It's dirty don't buy from either if you can.
 
I was just basing it off of looks, never had the chance to play one, but I heard one being played, and it sounded good
 
well if I am going to get any bass its a Thumb NT 4, then a Vampyre (yes, I obviously like Ryan Martinie)
 
It's funny though I've seen ads and pix with him and his vampyre but I never see him playing it. Hmmm...

some artists do have instruments they use only in the studio
 
I buy from Musician's Friend, and have bought from GC.

Never had a bad experience once!

I don't understand the hatred.

I think too many young players hate GC, because they think it's 'the thing to do' as a musician.

I love them both.
 
I've bought stuff from there too. I don't care if it's "cool" or not to buy from there. I've worked for the company and know how its works on the inside. It's dirty and wrong and I don't support it because its all about the sale and not about the musician. I have also been to some amazing shops that blow GC out of the water hands down. They might not have as much equipment but they have only the best.

There's a place in NYC called Ludlow Guitars (I think). It's got cases and cases of amazing analog pedals. Rudy's has pants down the best bass selection out of any shop I've ever seen. I could go on and on. There's a guy in Brooklyn named Gary Fried that amazing. He is a great luthier and I would take any of my basses to him for repairs before I even considered GC.

I guess if you need something like straplocks or some strings or picks then GC is good but if you are buying something the has real value look somewhere else before you get it from GC (the wal-mart of guitar stores).

That is why I throw all my business to Rocket Music and bass central, and only buy my strings and tab books at GC.

There's a cool one right across from berkley. They just have some random stuff thats interesting. They had a thumb BO when i was there.
