:ddI had my first gig Saturday night with the new cab (Genz Benz GBE 750 Head) with my new Aguilar DB410 cab. All I have to say is a quote from a musician in the crowd.."what the hell are you play for a rig...is that an 18 and some 10's or something it hits hard with punch and clarity, but the bottom is amazing"

I heard tones and cut through the mix so well that they kept telling me to turn down. The weird thing is I'm playing thru an 8ohm cab in lieu of my 4 ohm Ampeg in the past at the same level on everything adn it was way louder. I always thought it was my bass not giving me the tone and bottom and growl I wanted, but come to find out it was the Ampeg Cab. I need to do an A/B with my Ampeg and Genz heads and see if the head is making the huge difference I think it is too.

All I know is this is the BOMB setup. Thanks to those that have answered my questions about these products.

Sweet deal man! Nothing like getting that tone you're searching for.

Aguilar is an INCREDIBLE company...little expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I had a similar experience this weekend at a gig i had at H2O in Newport, RI. I played my brother's thumb 5 with D'Addario Nickels through an ashdown mag 600 head and avatar 410. Similar experience. I have never had the tone cut through the mix so much!!!

As soon as I get enough cash together I'm seriously contemplating getting some Aguilar stuff.

Congrats on having a great gig man! Keep it up

Dynamic headroom is WAY higher at 8 ohms than 4 ohms. I now run an 8 ohm GK cab with my 400RB (the original with the cast housing) and it blows away the 4 ohm Peewee BW POS I used before.

Found mine with my thumb 5 nt and a Ampeg SVT 6-pro and SVT410HLF. I also plug my Ampeg SVT Tube DI into the effects loop. I love it. It's like they were made for each other.
