Loss of my phone and internet are imminent and I just wanted to, while I still can, take this opportunity to say goodbye and to tell you all how much I have enjoyed being a member of this forum and how much I will miss you all. I have made several new friends here and although most of you do not know it, you have all helped me through a very rough time in my life. Life has been crumbling around me for sometime now, and although I have been fighting to keep myself going, right now it looks like I am losing the fight. I just barely ducked a bullet and managed to keep my power on, but now I have just gotten a final warning from the phone company, so as I said, loss of phone/internet is imminent. I have several irons in the fire and if one of them come through, then I will be back, if not, I just want to take this opportunity to tell ya all, I will miss you. This has to be one of, if not the best forum I have ever been a member of, and I think you are all great people and it has been an honor to know you.

I will continue to hang out and act as normal until the connection is severed, I just wanted to make sure I didn't vanish without saying a word. So keep them basses thumpin' Bros. Hopefully I will see ya all again when this song turns itself around and we head into the next verse.

I hope things will be better for you in the near future. I think most of us will be waiting for you to come back...........Hey, if you return, please do bump the "how do I get the Fieldy sound" thread by telling how much Fieldy sucks.........:lol:
That's probably going to be one of the few times that I will forgive you for doing so..............:lol:

Well it's after 5:00 pm (normal business hours) so it appears that I dodged the bullet yet another day. Not sure if it's funny or sad, but I find myself watching the lights on my modem like I'm waiting for the internet light to suddenly go out, almost like watching a cardiac monitor waiting for it to go flatline.

Appreciate the warm wishes and words of encouragement. If, or hopefully, when my unemployment goes through, I will be back on my feet right away. They already owe me $1100.00 in benefits. That will get me caught up and on my feet well enough to make it while I get something more permanent going. Until then, I'll just play it day by day. They say when life hands lemons you're suppossed to make lemonaide, only problem, I can't stand lemonaide!

Anyway, looks like your stuck with me one more night anyway.

Hard as it might sound mate, you may have to consider moving to an undesirable area to get your head above water. This might sound harsh mate, but I've done it. In 2001 I had it ♣♣♣♣in' made mate. Full time charge nurse at one of the top 100 hospitals in the US, in Houston TX. I left it to return to Canada, got my BNSC (same as BSN) and my NP. Found out being an NP in Canada was a bum deal. I'd run out of money, had to borrow to pay bills. I ended up in Bullhead City Arizona, the armpit of the planet, making about $7 an hour LESS than I had in Houston 4 years earlier. I lived on nothing. Payed my debts off, payed back my sign on bonus, and in a bit less than a year got the ♣♣♣♣ outa dodge.

It aint easy, but when it's the end of the line otherwise, it's a way out.
 
just know that when things seem the worst, we're all pulling for you. Try and stay positive. It will get better!
 
Daamn, I'm sorry to hear that Randy. do what you gotta do to live man, we will be here "when" you return!!!
 
Well, I just checked their website and found out they denied my unemployment, so I'm pretty much screwed! Of course I will appeal it, but that will take time and that I just don't have. The General Manager of the Casino assurd me that they would not interferre with me getting my unemployment and then turned around and screwed me. Dam I hate two faced people.

So anyway, it looks like when the internet goes off, I'll be gone. Thanks for all the kind words. I will miss you all.
 
Damn randy, i hope you can get everythign sorted out and return to us all soon, we'll still be here!

Ok, it's official, they shut me off friday evening. I will try to check in from time to time to say hello. Right now I'm at a friends house so I thought I'd say hi.
