Does anybody have a recommendation for a luthier in the Los Angeles are who is familiar with the removable truss rod Warwick used in early Thumbs?
I brought my '86 JD Thumb to a luthier who came highly recommended and he almost pulled the fretboard off to get to the truss rod.
From what I read on this forum, the truss rod should be removable without doing that. I'd like to bring my bass to someone who has actually worked old Warwicks like mine before, so I can rest easy that he's doing the job right.
My truss rod is at it's limit, so it probably will need to be replaced.
Thanks!!
