Going old school.... Maybe not?

As I'm sure all of you have, I broke my Jen II and I need to replace it. I don't know if I want another graphite nut that is floating on set screws (I'm wanting a bit more SPANK ) so I'm thinking a Jen I brass nut. My question is...... Does anyone know of any problems/defects they had like stripping?

P.S. I'm new to this forum and I gotta say kudos to all you Warwifiles.

AFAIK both JAN I and JAN III are better than a broken JAN II. I've chosen the brass one and never looked back. It's a bit easier to install (doesn't interfere with the truss rod cover) and feels sturdier. The only downside is that it's somewhat awkward to adjust - you have to pull away a string to adjust a saddle.

Hey Maximus, welcome to the forum

Never heard of problems with JAN1, except one guy that said one string was rattling.
JAN3 are better replacements, since they have the same size. JAN 1 are slimmer, so you will have some space left between the trussrod cover and the nut.
