Gimme that sound!!!! (Streamer CT)

So I was just going to post a little bit about a recent breakthrough with my live sound. For as long as I owner my Streamer CT I would solo the P pickup for my live and recorded sound. At a recent show I had to set up really fast and I did not noticed my blend had moved to about 70%P and 30% J (approx) and I loved it. I heard myself so clear and punchy that night. I set it up that way at last nights show and felt like a superhero. Clear and punchy with plenty of bottom and ease of playing. I dug in a lot less and played so relaxed!!!

I take back every suggestion about soloing the P. I still love the sound but dialing in the a little bridge pickup added a whole level of articulation and clarity!!!

Good to hear! The bridge pickup usually bears a more snappy sound, as the strings have more tension there.

That's true !
I have noticed that you should never solo with one pickup but you shouldn't use them 50/50 either.
At least this is how I like my Corvette. It just feels that something's missing when you use only one pickup, strange thing it is

I'm with you on that one. I LOVE the active P-pup sound on my LX but although it has a great dirty rock sound that little bit of snap, clarity and a firmer low end from a 20-30% blend of single coil lets you cut through the mix much better but still keeps that tasy P-pup growl.

If you play alone, maybe with a reggae-trio or something else slow, soloing the neck pickup works well, but if you play faster stuff it`ll be very boomy and undefined.
