Gig Fest in Newcastle UK, April

Just noticed we have 2 great gigs happening over here in April 2011

My two favourite bands - Fishbone and Kings X - are playing within 3 weeks of each other in a great small venue - 200 capacity.

We normally have to travel to London to see bands like this, but for some reason they have decided to come and see us for a change.

And in between these two gigs we have my cover band doing Fishbone and Kings X tracks!

Can't wait - Doug Pinnick and Norwood both playing down the road :)

Kings X - Fri 8th April
Dogman - 15th April
Fishbone - 30th April
 
Wow... 200 capacity. I never saw Fishbone, but King's X is absolute knockout fodder live. And Doug Pinnick is one of the most pleasant "rock stars" I've ever met (and that was while they were touring with Motley Crue and Type O Negative...)
 
I think this wll be the 7th time I've seen kings X. I was at the Loondon gig in 09 which is their latest DVD. Met the group in about 1990 and had a pint with them while their support act was on in Manchester.

Fishbone are all nice guys too.
 
Darn it, Fishbone not playing Scotland on this tour I think :confused:

They are amazing live though.
