Sooooooo with my recent medical maladies and their financial repurcussions finally overwith (after much arguing with my health care provider and a 2 week hiatus from work) I have decided to adopt a new baby.....


No, I did not pay that much and did in fact get a new hard case thrown in.
 
and yet, knowing full well what it was, I clicked on the link....
 
(sigh).... So it arrived thursday night and weeeewow. Beat to crap. I was considering a refinish anyway, but this was not even close to "near perfect" condition which was how it was described on their site.
The straw that broke the camel's back however, was when I opened the control cavity and found that the previous owner had tried to install a preamp on the passive bass by cramming a battery, preamp, some foam and a LOT of electrical tape into the cavity. I never even bothered to plug it in. When I got to my local GC (I got this online from texas) the sales manager just shook his head and said " why they didn't let the tech look it over before giving the guy $400 in a trade I have no idea. We'll have to install a new module in it before we can put it on the rack".... The search for a Fortress One 4 string continues....
 
no pics were found. funny story. sorry for that stuff happens. tell me about it when the police told me today the bass I recently bought was stolen and the police wants it back since the seller is now in jail and my newest addition will have to part from mine side. :cry: :cry: :cry:

Not a Warwick though but was a Warwick son-to-be
 
WHAT!?!?! Aw man. Add to that that apparently my medical woes didn't end. Got a $2600 bill dropped in my lap today....faxing faxing faxing....

Nah, I have a hot wife and great basses. I am looking for a 4 string to get as close to the sound of my 5 as possible. My GAS is out of an almost necessity. I hate having to make adjustments to my amp when I play out. When I switch from 4 to 5 I'm going from passive soap bar to active twin j's.
