FS, FT, WTB " I need black hardware for a 5'er - and you need gold hardware

I have an SS2 on the way, and I am looking to shed the gold, and strap up the black.

Bring some bling to your Wick, and get pimpin!
 
Before you do that, here's what one looks like. I thought I'd like it, but I didn't.

I like low key myself, but I felt black just took something away from the bass.

Hey Chris I appreciate the heads up. It does take some of the dressed to the 9's look of the bass away. I am so down for the black dressed down look.
 
imo most wicks look better with black hw but a stage 2 needs to keep the gold;)
 
I just received my 1998 Dolphin. It has black and I want to go gold. Problem is that it shows some wear. I can send some close ups if you wish. How's the condition of the gold on your end?

Most of my basses are satin silver (hipshot color) or black. I have never ever owned gold hardware. :confused:
 
If anyone is interested in making this same trade involving slightly tarnished broadneck hardware, let me know! Sorry for the hijack!
 
Check out my bass in Darker than expected. Any changes in thoughts on black? I think I am leaning that way, The gold doesn't grind on me as bad as I assumed. I could even go silver. Thoughts?

You could just buy used black hardware and install it. If you like it, keep it and sell the gold for the same price, or sell the black off if you don't like it for the same price. Break even either way.
