Fret Buzz

I just got a Corvette RB 5 string and the neck seemed to bow a little. Anyways I played with it and got it straighter. Also I noticed that the E string around the 5th fret (A) buzzed when I played it. i tried raising the saddles and the JAN and got it gone. then i noticed that my A string on the 2nd fret (B) would buzz. I tried the same thing and after 1 hour I gave up afet ending with my JAN and strings saddle raised almost to their highest. I knew it was time for me to take it to a shop.

I took it then to a local guitar shop and the guy set up the neck and the saddles one more time. he played in through an amp and it did not produce any buzz on the amp....however.... when unplugged the A string on 2nd fret still buzzes. I told the guy that set it up and he told me and plugged it in that as long as it does not buzz while plugged I should not worry.
He said that it was probably the gauge of the strings or maybe a defect on the string itself that maybe changing the strings might help.

I am a little uneased since this is a brand new bass and my other wics do not buzz at all plugged or unplugged.

Any ideas? Also I got this RB from a dealer online since the one I had ordered at Guitar Cenbter in addition to take more than 2 months to arrive, had a bowed neck and also the buzzing was unbearable that i ended up not buying it.

Any ideas? comments?

could it be a defect on the height of the frets? or maybe the string is indeed defective?

Change your strings & see if that has any effect.
If that doesnt work maybe you have a fret or 2 that arent seated correctly.Try getting a second opinion from a different tech.Sometimes that can make a world of difference.
