Since I know you dig the super thumpy vintage sound;

And some Youtube of a guy playing one;

Thanks. I can't access any yootoob stuff,
or various other innerressin stuff, cuz my
connection is thru my employer ..... but
I CAN see the pix of the Ka-uBass, and it
appears to be similar to an Ashbory but
in uke form ... verrrry cool ... and I know
what an Ashbory sounds like so I have an
idea how the uke bass sounds.

The tuner pegs look very Ashbory-like but
the strings seem slightly less thick, which
may mean they use the alternative string
material that some Ashbory players use.
The big deal with the alt material is that
you can play without talc powder cuz it's
not grabby like silicone rubber strings.

I'll hafta look into this when I'm handy to
a 'full service' connection !

It sounds really good. And they look really cheap, might be a doog idea for a travel bass.

Yup. Juzzwatt I need, another travel bass.

I never really GO anywheres ... but playing
conditions are sometime rather crowded so
a 'travel' ax does come in handy.

Golem i have to ask, do you have a single pic anywhere of all your basses?

All in a single pic ?

Unimaginable. Sometimes I can't even
find some particular ax that I'm looking
for at the moment, altho they'll always
turn up sooner or later.

Answer to next Q: No, I don't actually
know how many .... some dozens +/-.

I'm trying to cut back ... altho I gassed
out yesterday ... not a lotta green but it
will take a lotta space in the house. How
could I turn down a Tacoma FL5 at only
$300 ? Several weeks ago I tried to buy
one right outa the player's hands during
an open mic. I was willing to go $500 at
the time, but he wouldn't let it go.

Haven't seen my latest catch yet, but if
it's not cracked or warped then I've got
more than my money's worth in sound
and in coolth.

Picture a whole lot of thump, and that's how this thing sounds, when I heard it, it instantly reminded me of you Mr Golem.
