FNA Jazzman

Hi guys, was just wanting your opinions on something - I've always gassed for an FNA Jazzman 4 string but am a bit concerned by their lack of popularity (don't see many forum members with them atall) - are they good basses? how come they don't seem very popular?

I tried one before getting my corvette $$. The combination of the slanted neck jazz pickup/humbucker give a really rounded tone and tapping the humbucker can give loads of sweet textures. And that AA flamed maple top coupled with the honey violin made for one of the most shimmeringly beautful basses I've ever seen in person

However the cost is big, and you can get far more versatility out of a vette $$ for about half the price. Don't know what band eq the fna is though

the fna jazzman is such a great bass almost get one 3years ago, but had not enough cash. but i think since the $$ were introduced, it lost popularity since the $$ is so cheap....
it woudn't surprise me if will be discontinued soon.
its one of the best bolt on warwickbasses i tried and would prefer this then the $$. but its sure a question of the cash too.
but i like the older series more plus this bass looks so elegant with the maple top and gold hardware. and at the end this bass got such a cool name too

Because it's truly a very versatile bass. You can litteraly play anything with this and still get the ''right'' tone out of it.

I would love to own an FNA Jazzman in honey violin and 5 stringer. that would be dreaming!!. I have the electronics from one that i got off ebay with battery cable and output jack and I have been thinking about getting a bubinga Vette and adding these to it to give it a shot but if I do not like it, it will be hard to sell back.

I do not like the FNA's without the extra pick up at the neck. that's me.

There is a guy selling one close to where I live with the single humbucker (bad for me) and also is a 4 strimnger (I love 5ers) so these are 2 good reasosn not to go for it.

Another good reason is that you could buy mine, and it's a 5-string FNA JazzMan in the honey-violin finish, used but not abused. No issues with the ax. All issues are with my tendons and thumb joint :-(

Im a proud FNA owner!

I currently playing Sack Sabbath (black sabbath tribute) and Insidious (tech death metal, album out on 5th May on UB record!) and I find with the tweaking of my EQ on my bass amp I can get the perfect sounds for both bands!

I've also played in pop/soul/motown bands before and found it performed excellently. A lot is down to amp granted, but the bass is awesome and it plays like a dream!
