FNA comfort

Are there any comfort issues with the FNA Jazzman as compared to a corvette std. since it doesn't have the cut where your arm rests?

I know this came up in another topic, but I'm about to upgrade to a FNA Jazz and I don't want to miss my vette because of comfort.
 
Sorry to sound mysterious mate but I think only you can answer this.
When I switched from a Thumb to a stage 2,I found the part of the bass where my forearm rests felt alot different & thought maybe I'd made a mistake & needed to swap it for another Thumb.But after getting settled with the new shape it feels so natural now.

One of the reasons why I went away from the Vette $$ BO was the lack of the right arm cut-out.
 
thanks for the help guys. I'm headed to GC today to try one out!
 
so i tried the FNA yesterday, but it was a terrible specimen. the strings were completely dead and i think the electronics were messed up... i could get absolutely no tone out of it. very disappointing. it was comfortable, though!
 
Yeah I worked for GC for a while. They tend not to care for the bass department as much. I use to change the strings on all the nice basses so they sounded nice when someone picked them up. They're equipment really gets messed up though. They FNA has a lot of tonal possibilities. If you go in and tell one of the salesmen (GC leech) that you are serious about buying it and that the strings and maybe the electronics are messed up, they should help you out with it cuz making a big sale like that makes them wet.

Oh yeah... and haggle the crap out of them. They will give you a deal if you push hard. They work on commission.
 
if i get one, there's no way i'm getting that one... but i really just wanted to try one out.

the day was good though. i love the $$ and i got to play a NT thumb. quite exciting.
 
$1800 too. It was an 03 and in pretty good shape. i wanted it... but i don't have that much!
 
Check out the taranis. its an ash body, so pretty much the same, you get that little arm slant thing, and you can order one with an active preamp. and its cheaper than the jazzman!
