Hey all. I picked up a real nice green 5 string FNA a few months ago, i believe its a 98. I've tried all kinds of set-up options, heights, different strings, etc, and I still feel the G string is MUCH lower in volume output than the rest. I have the SINGLE exposed pole humbucker, thats the only pickup. I don't like that the poles are raised in the center at the A string, lower at the B and G strings. Follows the nautral curve of the neck, but doesn't cut it for my tone. I don't see any up / down adjustment on the poles..correct? It's the older FNA, only the one humbucker.
I play harder rock, mostly with a pick, and the exposed poles just don't cut it for me. Can you guys advise on a direct replacement pickup, that will solder and fit in easily, using the same active electronics? I can provide pics, but I'm sure you guys know what I mean. I'm thinking Bartolini right now, and I definitely don't want exposed poles. Please help, not much time with kids and work to completely browse all posts and net stuff, :lol: THANKS!
