Well, I just would like to hear what you guys think look the best, and a few more in-depth questions.
What do you all think about the satin finish compared to the High gloss?
Would you rather get the oiled instead?
Ive been dreaming about the vampyre nt bass for ages.. Keep saving a buck here and there, but its not that easy.. Its expensive, and the day I order it, I want it to be exactly what I want it to be.
Im in for the ...vampire look while playing. Im mostly into death and black metall. Ive talked about the specs before. - 6 string, vibrato, leds (all the way) with perhaps f-clef inlays (Still considering making custom ones). I had kinda decided to get a transparent black high polish finish with AAA(A) maple top and swamp ash back. And now its about getting a more dark look, maybe not the "New in your face" bass with a shiny finish. And still. Cant decide the LED color.

And, would you like to have the wood I said? My infinity has a maple top, all standard, but I feel I kinda lack the last ..pressure, as I want to have in this genre. My infinity is mainly used for classical music.

If you're gonna get a high polish black finish (or any black finish for that matter) you don't need to get an AAA (or AAAA) maple top. It's just going to be covered up and waste of money IMO. That AAAA maple is friggin' expensive. It will sound the same no matter what kind of maple top you get. Maple is maple.

Yeah, ofc, but I was just thinking of getting the AAAA maple, if im getting transparent finish. Then it matters.
Every detail must be just right..!

Believe me, the difference in looks between AAA and AAAA doesn't justify the price difference IMO.

Btw, another thing I was wondering about!
The guitars that were made from the tree outside in Draculas garden, I can see its an option for cs basses. Is this one limited? Are all the tree samples from the same tree? (If so its gotta be limited).
Hows the sound? Its maple, but quilted. If you have a CS vampyre bass, you gotta have wood from his garden!

I like a satin looks better on the Vampyre, it makes it look more like a Gothic violin.
The Dracula's garden tree... well it is "only" "regular" very beautiful quilted maple. It has the same sound as other species of maple, only different looks.

Have any of you seen a bass with a satin finish on the fretboard? Is it even possible, or will it just get scratched apart? Wouldnt be fun to be full of it on the fingers after you play.
Hmm, would also be fun with a seven string. I like to play some chords and stuff with tapping to, with a big register. Low bass and some nice high tones. Its not really bass anymore though.
How would it sound really? Most likely, the bass wouldnt be supporting the lower notes good enough if you want some clear high ones?

It is pretty comon for Maple necks/fingerboards to be finished in satin.
It feels pretty similar with the oil finish.
