if I was you I would sell the proline like it is to the new owner. somebody will like it and if you mess up on the refinish then it WILL be very hard to sell. I would just sell it and then buy the SS1 or LX you want. I have an SS1 and a Spector LX4 Euro so.... LOL

Hey man, I'm still having dreams of that SS1 every now and then. I checked it out on the sight you listed. Price is a bit high for me now, but I'm still considering it. (They have a lot of really nice basses there man!)

Hey Tyler - Just came across a proline at the local music shop for $650. It had a trans-blue finish was a bit rough looking, but otherwise in good shape.

Appreciate that Gastrok. Mine is in more than fair condition. I just gave her a twice over today, and got all the hardware gleaming, and the Flame singing!

I forwent the steaming and sanding today since I didn't feel like doing it just yet, but once I do, I'm confident the body will be 100%. She's at about a 91%. Just typical soft wood absorption.
