2 days ago i took my bass down to soundworks (music store near me) for a set-up:)
cant beleive i waited this long to get it done coz i was only quoted $608:
now i have 6 more days without a bass:eek:
i dont think ill survive haha

oh man ... Better get a hobby to help you through these rough days ahead ... Maybe you can take up modern dance. If nothing else, gives you a chance to check out all those hot ladies wearing tight leotards and spandex... If that doesnt take you mind off missing your bass, nothing will ...
 
You could look on the positive side, you now have a good excuse to buy another!!!!!

i actually borowed my friends Fender MIJ Jazz bass for a few days. No offence to any Fender-lovers here but i didnt realize how much i hate Fenders till i played this. Im just not comfortable with body shape and its playability, not to mention the sound.

Anywho, I just got my bass back an hour ago and it plays extremely well. And the best thing about it - it was FREE:d
turns out, the trussrod was overly tightened causing an outwards bow on the first 3-4 frets.
Anyways, everythings all playing smoothly and im a happy man

hmmmm you picked playing a fender over checking out hot ladies in spandex doing modern dance. Can't say I would have went that route, but can relate to the desperation that drove you to the fender.

All joking aside, I'm glad to hear your bass is home safe and sound and that all is well. However, I still think you should give that checking out the hot ladies in spandex thing a try. It might not be as fun as playing bass, but it definately does have its merits.
