Fake Warwick

So... wait, the LTD NT bass isn't really US $378.95!?!?!?!
 
That fake is pretty obvious and uglee, but there are better fakes on this site:



The bridge is wrong and they went 2+3 on the headstock but some poor noob could get burnt with crap like this
 
You're right... the uninitiated could definitely get burned on these.

I wonder if Warwick worry about trying to chase these up?
 
Warwick should be on their case really.
 
We are definitely aware of many of the fakes out there. I have informed HP of these, to be sure he's seen the latest. Sometimes it just takes too much resources to chase them down, but spreading the word will help the uninformed. Thanks for the post!

Well, China knocks off everything.

In the USA, the high performance automotive market has several manufacturers located in the USA that have been around for 50+ years, do tons of R&D, and make a great product.. Well, these ♣♣♣♣ing China factories are copying them bit for bit and selling them for around half the cost. The quality and fit/finish is just completely awful, and people buy into it.

I hope all their engines blow up.

Don't forget that a lot of American en European companies have most their parts or even complete products made in China.

It is all too convenient to have stuff built for low prices by the poor people of China while maintaining high sales prices for your products.

Child labor, women thrown out for being pregnant or not receiving wages, co-workers jumping off the building because they just can't take no more. Wooohoooo!

HiFi, television, laptops, tablets, cars, bass guitars. WE WANT CHEAP STUFF!
Blame the people buying it, not the ones building it imho.

dunno (the headstock defines the instrument, that's why we have the Warwick headstock derived from the spector hs) so this might be impossible - other than that

ns2 ==> streamer
schaller, dunlop ==> warwick security locks
alembic nut ==> jan3

Warwick has a long inspiration history imo

No problem with that but chasing others then?

I don´t agree, Sascha, HPW never sold a Streamer Bass claiming it was a Spector, or with the Spector logo on them. The problem here is they ARE using a trademark name to sale an instrument that´s not a Warwick (or a Gibson, Fender, etc.), IMHO.

you are 100% right it slipped my attention that they actually claim it is a warwick cs :-))
