I saw this before but it is very nice indeed, when are they going to make this for bass so i can use other tunings like drop D tunings and other stuff?

Yeah, I want this too - but I only play Warwick, so Warwick would have to incorporate this before I will own one! That intonation feature is cool!
 
i wonder how accurate it is... i love my korg and the tuning i get with it!
 
eh i think its a cool concept but i mean if you wont learn to tune your own guitar then why play? haha
 
I think it would be very useful for both live situations and studio situations. It sucks to have to check if your in tune between every song and with this you could just hit a button and know that in 2 sec. you are perfectly in tune. You are always making sure your 100% in tune for recordings so having a machine that makes it perfectly in tune and intonated in a matter of sec. saves time and in the studio time is money for sure.
 
I wonder how much extra weight would it involve being adapted to bass.The tuners need small motors in them.The on board tuner & electronics would be light though.
Looks like a wicked piece of engineering.

Well, I've got a Peterson StroboFlip that's accurate down to .01% instead of the usual 1% (now that's studio recording tight!), so I too wonder how accurate the Robot Guitar can really get to those numbers!

And JHbass is right - ya oughta know how to tune your own guitar or bass for cryin' out loud! :lol:
 
If it was adapted to bass, the motors would have to be stronger too. dems bass strings are tight!
 
what motors?? and they did make one for bass, they're still hammering it out though

Notice how the tuners turn?Without anyone actually touching them?
It's fair to say there's a little electric motor in each of them.
Otherwise Gibson have some mechanical secret the rest of the world aint aware of. :wink:
 
no no no, the one i heard of alters the pitch of the note, so it is in perfect pitch

what? did you watch the video? where the tuners turn... and tune?
 
yes I did, and yes that is powered by motors, but I saw one in a magazine, that takes the note and just makes it sound like another note. For example you tuning is E A D G(standard tuning) then you select Drop D, and with out the tuners moving the sound that comes out of the amp is, D A D G
