EQ Help needed!

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on EQ settings. I play in a funk band and use Warwick basses (predominantly a streamer lx and occasionally a thumb nt) through a trace elliot combo. I'm trying to get a good funky Zender-esque sound and would appreciate any advice on how to set my EQ appropriately.

flat..and adjust in tiny amounts..it always sounds odd at first but give it a few songs with your band, with everything flat and see what you need from there..with eq a little goes a long way in my view.. some slap players like to cut the mids some dont...new set of strings will also help in more ways than one..
 
Remember what sounds good solo doesn't always sound good in a band situation so do yourself a big fave and find your EQ setting while playing with the lads.
 
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll defiantly be doing a setup at home and in the studio to get the right settings.
 
I usually keep it flat, and boost where I like the mid growl. around 400 HZ, and 1100 ish, or 800 ish, or 2500 ish, depends on your taste. I'd go for 800 ish for a nice warm mid presence. Rest flat, the LX has enough lows and treble by itself. I'd even bypass the 2 way onboard preamp, for a more powerful sound.
 
That's a big help Florin thanks. When you say bypass the inboard preamp do you mean by rolling bass and treb right back to zero or by playing the bass in passive mode?
