No I've going to write a little story of my waiting that seems to be endless.
I'm a little upset and frustrated and I'm doing this only to make me feel better.
Now, everything started in winter 09/10 when warwick first introduced rockbass aliens. They really caught my eye because I love the design and they we affordable. And most of all, they have something that other basses at that price range don't offer: ebony fretboard on fretless. So I started to wait when they hit the stores.
On spring they were finally listed on thomann, but soon they moved the expected delivery date up to the autumn. So, it was a summer without acoustic bass then, but the coming autumn seemed to always be near. When it came, there were no basses, because of a 'production problems'.
These basses were then announced again for the new 2011 basses, and guess what? I started to be hopeful again. I thought they would be in stores in spring like they were supposed to be in the 2010 as well. When the spring came, they were, however, expected to be in stores autumn. So, it was a summer without acoustic bass, again.
A month back from now, the long waited autumn was knocking the door and I finally ordered myself the bass because it was supposed to be in stores then. I waited about two weeks but nothing happened and I cancelled my order. Then I got a phone call, saying they would be in stores next week. That got me going, I even ordered a BC 150 combo too because it was supposed to be in stores at the same time !
And what happened, after a two weeks nothing happened and I asked the dealer what's going on. He tells me that he's very sorry to tell me this, but there's been production problems at warwick and neither rockbass aliens nor new amplification are going to be in stores before winter 11/12.
And here I am, waiting for winter and just hoping that these items won't be in the 'news 2012' section then. The most sad in this is that it's always been just couple of months waiting at a time, and then a sudden disappointment. Time after time. I'm not angry to warwick, just sad that this happens to me and probably to other folks out there too.
There's been other tragedies in my life too, so you can bet that this isn't making it any better. But writing this makes me feels better, I hope you understand. Thank you if you read the complete story of my miserable life. Gotta go sleeping before I completely lose my mind :lol:
