EMG PJs What do you think ?

Hi All

I'm thinking of fitting EMG PJs to my Fortress and I was wondering if anyone had used them and what you they were like,sounds,build quaiity etc.

Got a set of fully active in the wooden
'Berger clone .. loud, big bottom, big
mids ... I dunno if it's got any brilliant
highs ... I don't play highs. And did I
mention it's freakin LOUD ? It's LOUD.

Also got 3 sets of EMG 'Select' PJs in
Guild Pilots and the all-hawg nameless
bass. Nails the Olde Skool tone solidly.

Couldn't say whether these are actually
high-five cuz my only use of them is to
play bass. Plus, when I play CDs I play
them distincly looow-five ... so I have
no point of reference.

I had MEC thumb bass, and EMG thumb bass. I believe EMG is pretty similar with active MEC, maybe a little more extreme in the "presence" area

Seriously tho, EMG's rock, they are very articulate & have great mids. I used to have a bolt on thumb5 with EMG's & that bass rocked. Serious mids & Thump.
