Emerald West Video (The vesetile Fortrress)

Hey Warwick friends,
now I know what you're thinking, this isn't real exciting bass, no funk, no R&B no metal,,, this is country. The video was recorded some time ago and as the music industry goes, the video was never released, there were actually 2 different versions of the video, a long and short version and this is the short. The song was recorded with my 94 Fortress bass which is actually a great all around bass, you can cover a lot of different styles with a fortress. The director of the video originally wanted me using an upright bass for the video but when he saw the upright and then looked at the Fortress, he immediately chose the Warwick.
Though the Band Emerald West has now turned into a collaborative writhing project (of which I'm still involved with), I currently play with a Celtic/Zydeco/Rock band but I still own the Fortress which has been a very trusty instrument since way back in the 90's.
We're very proud of this song and the video turned out pretty good too. This style isn't for everyone but if you share it with your girlfriend or wife (or both), you may understand why there is great benefit to writing and playing heartfelt ballads. Enjoy.

Not a country listener here, but I can appreciate a well played bass line.

Marko, I see that you have some of the same basses as me, including the 09 Corvette $$ LTD, very cool. I'm very interested in your CS Fortress that you've ordered. I'd love to see what you've done and how it turns out.

We both have great taste buddy. I will post some pics of my basses eventually I'm just really busy these days. Just finished recording a few weeks ago now I'm writing the next album so we can jam it out on the road instead of worrying about what to write.
 
Country is good - I think that a professional musician should rather be of the attitude that "is it good music, is it musical" rather than biased on genre (well, I have to admit I'm biased against HOUSE 'music'). I find all musical music and good music to simply be good :) Also from working as a semi-pro player, I play literary everything and as such, it's also important to be able to appreciate and actually like all kinds of music and find good stuff in every style and every genre, if nothing else to make it interesting. So, country sits well with me too and I think it's an untapped potential here, since there aren't many (if any?) big or small names in country music using Warwick!
