Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere that sells just the button part of the Dunlop flush-mount straplok system in the UK? (or somewhere that ships to the UK)

Thanks
Jonny :)

ps. I've only just registered, but I've been browsing these forums for a while - I'm desperate to get myself a Warwick bass in the near future!

Hello Jonny,

Welcome to the forums, hope you can have lots of fun out here and learn a lot from all the guys and girls around here.

About the Dunlop buttons, I've had the same problem before, and I noticed that the standard Straplock system from Dunlop won't fit the old flush mount system. I suggest contacting Dunlop as well in case no one here knows anything about it.

Ah, I didnt know that the new straploks wont fit into the flushmount ones. I recently bought the normal dual-design ones, but that was before I realised the recessed ones existed.

I've emailed Dunlop, but am yet to hear from them.

If the 'original straplok' buttons wont fit, then I may as well buy a whole set of 'flush mount' straploks, but I need to find out for sure.

Thanks for the info :)

Probably best to call their distributers JHS.

There's a partnumber listed on here for the standard locks

I contacted JHS and they said they only stock the complete units, rather than individual parts.
I'm wondering if anywhere in other countries would be able to ship the individual parts to me.

Cheers for the help

I had an old streamer with those recessed locks, and the Dual design type worked for me. Not that I swung the bass around by the strap, but I gave it some serious tugs, and it was fine.

Thats good to know. Thanks. I'll keep looking for just the buttons but I have a feeling I will need to just buy a whole kit anyway as nobody in or around the UK seems to do Dunlop spares.
