Did I miss something?

Is it normal to have such soapbars on a Thumb NT or it's a special configuration?
This bass is sold as a default Thumb NT in a shop in Cologne.

Nope this is different. The normal Thumb NT have the two bridge P pickups.

are you sure that pic hasn't been photoshopped, because that looks like the standard pickup config from a 6 string thumb, yet it is a 5er...

did you actually see that bass, or just the pic on the net?

It could be a CS bass although I can't really believe anyone would order a Thumb NT 5 with those pickups. The J pups do an awesome job. There have been other Thumbs like this (ok, so the pic below shows a BO, never mind):

It could be a CS bass although I can't really believe anyone would order a Thumb NT 5 with those pickups. The J pups do an awesome job. There have been other Thumbs like this (ok, so the pic below shows a BO, never mind):

Actually, the spacing between the PU's is different than the 6 strings thumb.
