Diablo Collapsed Bridge?

I am based in the UK and have owned a Diablo Silver Tiger stripe since new (3 yrs) and it would appear that the floating bridge has collapsed!

Since it's initial set-up she has played like a dream, but I only started using the whammy bar for the last 3 months, but the other night whilst playing at a gig, the strings collapsed onto the fingerboard. Having had a look at it last night the bridge is now flush with the body and I'm not sure how this happened.

Has anybody had this problem?

Check the whammy cavity, the springs holding the bridge might have gotten loose.

Hi all...I eventually sent it to a Framus expert who luckily enough for me, lives locally.

He took the time and trouble to explain, in great detail, how the system works. (I just play the things and admit first hand that I don't really have a clue about the technical aspects!)
He confirmed that it was set up incorrectly for the gauge of strings that were put on there which subsequently put the whole system out of balance. This was why it collapsed. As with most floating bridge guitars the Framus is sensitive to the gauge of string and needs the springs tensioning up to get the correct pivotal balance.
I would advise anyone who gets their Framus (with a floating bridge) set-up that they take it to someone who really does know what they are doing.
If I had taken it to this guy in the first place, it would have saved me time, hassle and not least, money!

I hope this thread helps people out. Again, just to reiterate, get the work done by someone who knows what they are doing....
