How much space does the lever use on D-tuners? Would it be possible to use one on the E-string of a 5-string warwick???

But looking at it, it looks like the B tuner will be in the way of the lever....
 
I think you can fit it eventually, but you need to change the tuners angle...
 
Wouldn't that make the bass look rather silly?

I checked for Mannring's bridge with detuners but those aren't being produced anymore.
Besides that they used to cost a thousand dollars.
 
Yeah, the Detuner would need to be at a different angle to have a shot at being used on an E string in a 5 string setup. It's just big.

Another option (which is more expensive upfront) is to change the tuners to the Sperzel Lock-Tite ones. They also offer a detuner that attaches to a regular tuner, and looks to be much smaller, allowing you to possibly put one on the E string.
 
I'm not too bothered so I probably wont bother. I've got used to playing everything in my normal tuning (A*D*G*C*F*) no matter what tuning the guitarists use.
