@ Mr. Krinkle
I totally hear where you're coming from on the classic wood/construction options.
FYI Dunlop still makes the flushmount strap locks~ so you can get those ordered somewhere for certain!
Dana B. Goods (USA Warwick ) can send you an original brass Just-A-Nut no problem. OR if you're somewhere else... contact your closest Warwick Distributor. I'm sure they'll be happy to hook you up.
The CURRENT SSII's still a 7 stringer neck, unlike most of the other high end Warwick's anymore... so unleass you just can't stand the feel of the Ovangkol, or the Volute behind the nut...
But you're right I haven't seen a 5'er pre 97on Ebay that wasn't messed with. There was a 92' up recently(few weeks ago USA), but it had been
clear coated and had 6 string sized soapbar Duncan's routed into it..
I was ready to hop on it until I started asking questions.
If you do wait and a pre-97' SSII surfaces... make sure that you get GOOD pics and ask ALL the questions.

FOR SALE: FT: '92 Warwick Streamer NT 5 String
Posted: : 03/13/2006
Category: Basses
Condition: Excellent
Age: 14 Years
Asking Price: $
Up for trade is a beautiful '92 Warwick Streamer Neck Thru Five String with a natural finish and 16.5mm spacing. It has a flamed maple body, maple neck w/wide wenge strings, MEC jazz pickups, MEC 2-band e.q., brass just-a-nut 1, and comes with a generic hardshell case. It has a few small dings and dents but nothing you can see without getting really close. The tone is amazing, but the string spacing is just too tight for me. I'm mainly looking to trade for a fretted Elrick or a fretless F Bass, but feel free to make trade offers +/- cash. I'd prefer five strings, 19mm spacing, natural finishes, and a 34.5" or 35" scale.

Good Luck!!
