I was looking at the price list for custom shop basses and parts and such... and I was wondering if I would pay the "retail" value of the bass or the "sale" price of the bass or parts that i want on it? because the Thumb 5 bass is like 6 grand on the list without any mods... and i know they cost like $4,500 in musicians friend stock. The only changes i want is a wenge neck and wenge fingerboard like the older thumbs, im scared to buy a used one...and i know those kind of basses were discontinued years ago, I was just curious if i got one like that from the custom shop what the price would be around?

you better ask your dealer to make you a quote. But, I can guarantee you you won't pay retail price and that there are no risk to buy a used warwick. They are very solid instruments that take age very very well.

Hey Ginger, welcome to the forum man. Just contact a Warwick dealer, and he will give you a good price offer :-)

Thanks guys i appreciate your help, and its good to hear that warwicks last a long time, i have a corvette 5 string bubinga and i love that thing! I just want something a little more growly like a thumb nt.

Hey man,

if you choose for the Wenge neck option, then you will have a five piece Wenge neck with Ekanga veneers, instead of the old seven piece Wenge/Bubinga neck like the older Thumbs used to have..........Just to let you know.

Cheers.:d
