Cracked Nut

I have a cracked nut. The nut bridge on the top of my neck is cracked. I don't how it happened. I just got the bass in June and the guy replacing the strings noticed that the nut was cracked. This is the first time that I had the strings changed since I boight the bass. I was there as he was changing the strings and he showed me the crack.

What can I do?
 
If you within the USA, contact tech support at Dana B. Goods [email protected] and they will provide you with a replacement nut. They are fairly easy to replace and you can do it by yourself or take it to a tech depending on you...
 
They are sending my nut (lol) to me today.
