I finally had an opportunity to record a decent video, so I took the opprtonity and show you how my bass sounds :)

It's a cover of Streetlight Manifesto's song 'Dear Sergio'
Streetlight's bassist uses Corvette $$ also :d

Please ignore that little rush at the beginning, tempo wasn't as fast as I remembered
 
Music man pi9ckups seem to sound great on Sebrano body. Great growl!
 
Yes they do, I was using neck pickup on single coils on that video.
I think I may be able to record a little more songs to show more sounds :)

Nice playing! Thats a damn good sounding and looking bass^^ Think I could try record couple Megadeth songs tomorrow if I remember how they're played... and maybe try learn some Quo Vadis after I've got my fretless rockbass:D
 
Hey Kisu! I really dig the sound - guessing how more punchy it is through the real rig... awesome!
Also you did a good job playing the songs.

Anyhow, are you open for some technical advise?
Just two thinks I noticed - your two finger picking is not consequent. You are doing really good by mainly picking with one finger, but if you work on that you'd see playing is much less tiring and you'd even become faster.
Another thing: Your right shoulder. Try to relax it. What you do is normal, you can see that with many bass players. Nevertheless - try to relax it. There's nor reason for pulling it up - you are just straining muscles that don't need any strain. So again, would be less tiring!
Hope you don't mind I'm giving you those hints, you did a pretty good job!
 
Sounds awesome Kisu! Are they the original pickups in the bass, or did you change them for music man pickups?

Technical advice is always welcome, it's good to hear things that makes you a better player ;). I find it hard to play fully relaxed when sitting, and it does make my shoulder unwell.

Fortunately I'm still young and have a lot of time to practice, 2 years behind and 80 years ahead :lol:

These are the original pickups, yes. I really like my sound so it's good to keep everything original :d
 
Some problems with younger guys? Since I find out that my shoulder is in weird position when sitting too. And if you care try practice picking with 3 fingers, I did it too and its awesome. Damn I love your bass..
 
It's not just a matter of sitting. Believe me - that's something a lot of people do and the earlier you get rid of this habbit, the better.
Automatically, by strain in your shoulder, your whole attidude is much more strained. Let go, try to relax. Bass playing is not work. Just groove.
It's not because you are uncomfortable with your sitting position (if so, change!!) - it's because you are concentrating and focusing, and also because of the tension of being recorded (or on stage). Just try to fully relax when playing bass, you don't need as much strenght and power as you maybe think - even if you are plucking hard.
Also breathing is important... but... yeah ... one after the other, just try to feel as comfortable as anyhow possible by playing bass, and you'll be able to do it for several hours (and sometimes you'll need to do so...)

Well, I do use 3 fingers, but that's only on some songs :)
all my fingers make different sound and I tend to use them so that it sounds nice and feels most comfortable, Thanks anyways.

These basses aren't really expensive (1000 euros), so even students can get these with no less than year saving ;)
 
woot where u got special edition for 1000 euros paid almost that price for my corvette std :<

I bought my bass from klangfarbe.com, it's austrian warwick distributor and they have a very good sale prices on some warwick models, check it out if you are ready to face a huge GAS ;)
 
Well not so sad actually the KOREAN corvettes are still 1000€ at thomann and mine is from Germany ;) You really got yours super cheap take good care of it :)

Edit: They sell katana's and infinitys for cheap prices o_o
