I was pondering what a sort of things could be done to a stage I without changing the woods, or the pups....or the gold hardware thats nice as well....anyway that really only leaves a few options left.

Anyway this train of though lead me to thinking it could be interesting to make a corvette stage I...essentially its the same as a the streamer but with a corvette body.

As a finally sort of idea i remembered there were a few streamette bodies, was wondering if that was a possibility or if it was just one of those one off things specific to those basses.

Its amazing what crazy thoughts occur when your trying to kill time whilst waiting for exam results to be released.

No possible to do that again. Streamettes were basses made out of a batch of bodies we found after we moved to the new factory. Those are long one. Only one remains at the factory hanging on the wall. We do have the Corvette NT now which you can do some tricks with to make it look a little more like a streamer.

Cool i thought it was something like that, thanks for clearing it up for me :)

If you can catch an original Streamette, try to do so. It's worth the chase!! :D ~M~

haha very true if i ever get see one for sale i won't think twice about going for it.

I love the corvette shape, and love the proline, flamed maple looks great on the corvette body and really dig a SSI sound..thus my idea for a corvette with same specs as a SSI, just different body shape. thus idea but i'm completely broke atm...one more item to add to my gas list

That one's been out there for awhile now... I've been watching it but the condition doesn't look too good and I'm not sure about that finish either - can't tell if it's original or not and it looks pretty beat up. Probably plays great tho :D ~M~

ahh see i'm from UK so only really follow the basses on uk ebay, i've always pondered getting one from US, but i can't try it/look at it and postage & customs can be crippling :(

...sold for 810$

I got it. I had the tech at Dana B Goods look at it and he couldn't believe there was one on Ebay. He said it looked legit and told me to jump on it at $800. He said it was worth $1200 easy. I was watching it, and in the title he never said Bass, just Warwick. When I search, which is daily, I type Warwick bass, not just Warwick, so I didn't see it right away. I don't know but if the Dana B Goods guys don't know the US value who would, and there is only 75. They had a guy wanting one built at any cost and Has Peter refused. Should be here soon, I hope...

He relisted it 3 time that I saw. The first time it was $1200...

So, by my count that makes 4 Forum members that have one of these... Jay, Westrock, Warwick/Framus Australia, and me. Anybody I forgot? ~M~

I bought one from Australia late last year and had it imported to the UK. It was intended as a back up to my main gigging bass (upon which the Streamette was based, see below) but I didn't like it as much as my 'F' hole so traded it in the UK, it changed hands a couple of times after that through members of 'Bassworld'.

My main bass (with recent pup replacement by 'Wizard' - UK)

Strange how the Corvette body shape has such a love/hate affect on people!

None Warwick fans appear to have a particular dislike for my main gigging bass due to the 'F' holes but I like all of the Corvette range and I think they balance beautifully.
