Corvette Question. . .

I am not sure if this is the correct place for this post, but I have to put my oar in the water somewhere.

I have a 2007 German Corvette Standard in my collection, which I have decided to sell. It has maybe 5 hours total playing time; all from the original owner. I purchased it in 2014 and have never played it in any serious fashion. I added a new strap and soft padded gig bag and hooked it up to my amp a few times just to mess around for a few minutes.

About 3 years ago, on the old forum, someone mentioned they would be interested in purchasing the Bass if I ever decided to sell. At the time, I was ready to sell then, but decided to wait.

I am somewhat stumped as to determining the current value. I had posted pictures back when the old forum was still around and I still have them. Can anyone point me in the right direction to help research and determine a more current value?

If it's permissible to post photos here, I can add them.

Pics would certainly help to suggest a value, post them, I'm sure no one will mind.
As to value, where are you? Warwick Corvettes are relatively cheap in the UK at the moment, I paid £250 for a slightly tatty one recently, £400 is probably a normal price, but ebay auctions can go slightly higher.

Now for the $$......they normally go for about $750.00 to $800.00 here in the states

To me they are worth a lot more than that though

But that's about the going rate

FWIW, I have a 2015 Vette that you couldn't give me 2k for. Of course I made a few modifications to it, but its a keeper....one of my favorites

Oh yes... nice work and there's still room for improvement. May I suggest new puppies as MEC DC are not exactly stellar. I recently replaced them with active MECs on my Corvette and the difference is remarkable. Bass is so much tighter and mean. Also much higher output, with zero noise. Good stuff.

Yeah, I was originally going to put in some Nordstrand Big Blades, but I'm still thinking about an alternative.....Some active MEC's would be awesome but I'm still on the fence what I want to do.

But the active MEC's are definitely something I'm considering

Not to try to influence @SuperDave into keeping his (if you don't like it, you don't like it) but my Vette is like a perfect fit for me. That and my Streamer LX are the only basses I have now and won't part with either

I don't know if you remember, but I had an older Vette with a Wenge neck and the JAN I, and when I sold it I knew I made a mistake....well now that I got another one, I'm not letting this one go

What about a preamp/circuitry like the MEC M 60013 with original MEC passive pickups. Would that be a comparable upgrade?

I would replace the pickups first with either actives (if that's what you want) or better quality passives (I hate noise so I would go for some real good quality split coils like the stuff Nordstrand makes), so you 'll be able to solo each pickup without interference. Pickups upgrade before preamp imho.

I agree, pups first.

In my case I was going to do pre and pups at the same time, but then I started having second thoughts on the pup, so I just went for the pre for now.....i knew I wanted that brand of a preamp
