I don't think so, probably someone mistook ovangkol grain for ash.

If you mistake ovangkol for ash visually you probably shouldn't be driving. They look nothing alike. Ash is almost white with distinct dark grain patterns, ovangkol is very dark, with less obvious grain but often with flame and other across the grain patterning. I would say its either they mis-quoted the spec with an ash body, or mistook a maple neck for ash.

JAN2's are almost always "broken" like that. It's not
truly "broken", in that it remains fully functional and
reliable. The little side tabs that almost always break
off are a convenience, not critical. If you remove ALL
the strings at the same time, the upper section of the
adjustable nut falls off. No harm. Put it back

just don't remove all the strings together.

I've got many basses on which if you remove all the
strings the bridge falls off. These basses are not at all
"broken". And it's more trouble to put back a bridge
than a nut, cuz the intonation needs to be set again.
I just never remove all the strings at the same time.
On an URB, not only the bridge but also the sound
post falls away :-( That is an internal part that is not
reachable except thru the "f-hole" by a special tool.

I think an FNA with maple neck would be a custom
shop option. Basically, that would mean paying extra
to alter the FNA to render it very similar to a Fender
Precision Deluxe, a fat neck Fender with killer active
EQ and pre-amp.
While that could be ordered, one might as well just go
for the P-Deluxe and save about $1000 Despite all
the crapola in their line-up, Fender does still offer just
a few top shelf items ... such as the P-Deluxe. And the
Hipshot tuners will outlast 2 or 3 sets of Wick tuners !
