No that was Lordi from neighbouring Finland. That year it was hosted here in Greece too. It was the only time I have voted for a song in the contest. Pure wholesome fun.

It was veeeery sweet to see "us" go no.1 in the ESC. It`s been awhile. My girlfriend started to make toasts for every 8-10 or 12 points, but we had to stop after country no.22 had given their votes, or we`d been floored.

Btw, we`re gonna make a metal-version of "Fairytale" next week. ...and my vote this year went to Moldova, I thought they had a pretty cool melody.

ESC is the one thing that reminds me of, no matter how much I suck, there`s always hope.

Hey, I even dig Lady Gaga. I can`t deside if it`s kitch or camp, but It`s so hillarious that its great. po-po-po-po-po-pokerface...

Actually, ESC is better in the semi-finals now, because the really really really bad contributions doesn`t get as far as the final, thus lowering the wacky-factor that usually made the finals so entertaining.

The Brits in my band have said that the songs are often the kind you can't get out of your head when you hear them... must be one of the judging criteria.
