Having met you I know first hand that you are a great muscian and one hell of an awesome guy I'm proud to call a friend. Florin, you are one of the reasons why I fell in love with Warwick basses and you made both my CS basses possible. I can´t say THANK YOU enough! But I try! THAAAAAAANK YOU, BASSBROOOOOO!!!
 
I don't think I've ever seen such a strong online community. Oooh the memories. :)
I was 32 when we started, I am almost 50 now.
I am old.
I feel older.
I don't play bass anymore, except some occasion tracking sessions in my studio.
When I play bass, sometimes it is a Warwick, sometimes ... it is not.
What I am trying to say is that... this message might be a proper "goodbye" one.
Or not.

Who knows.
I am not an admin anymore, back to LVL1 :)

Love ya all, I will miss you!

That said, yes, please do come back and visit from time to time !

And who knows, maybe if you play your 'Wick, you'll feel younger ;)
 
Thanks for everything Flo, @DiMarco You'll never be forgotten.

The only reason the Warwick forum exists is because of a few hardcore Wick fans who refused to let it die. For quite some time this was the most important marketing department Warwick had.

Countless bases sold and exchanged from people learning to love Warwick in this forum. Countless history lessons (that even HP didn't get right sometimes), countless technical help, you name it, we did what Warwick did not want to do for a long time.

I'm glad Warwick has an official forum again. I just sincerely hope their mindset has changed, as to the value a forum like this brings to a company.

Onward and upward.
 
Bare with the lengthy post. Got to get a few more things out. Don't want everyone to think I'm just a bitter old man, from that post above.

I'd be remiss not to mention all the people on this forum, that stoked my passion for these amazing, flawed, yet oh so perfect basses. @Hardy @Nachobassman @DiMarco @Florin and many more... You're passion was contagious. You made me laugh, think (and cry once or twice). Thank you.

Some of you may recall, I had never heard of Warwick before I was lucky enough to win the Thumb played and signed by Jack Bruce, from a contest in Bass Player magazine back in 2008. Putting aside the holy shit gigantic prize that I won; what a way to fall in love, with what I consider to be, the most beautiful bases in the world, still to this day. What a privilege it's been to get to know and own Warwick's. I've never made much money in my life, but my friends always told me I had a "millionaire's bass collection". In that sense, it does feel like I overachieved, and I'm so glad I did.

Though my chops are still only very amateur and my playing has been cut down severely since the start of the pandemic, and a huge move from Oregon to California... my love and passion for this brand is as strong as ever, thanks in no small part to the people on this forum, and of course that chubby bald guy who started it all, Papa HP.

A special thank you to the history buffs @schlobodan @warwickhunt Who helped instill in me a passion for wanting to know the most minute details about every facet of the history, variations of each model, all of it. Thank you.

Long story short... old bitter man has love in his heart...and he thanks you.
 
@Florin thanks for everything man! To everyone here who has chipped in money to keep our little thing rolling, thanks. i was glad to help every month to keep this place alive. I know I’ve not been around much, and I’ll always be a junior member lol, but I’d be sad if this place was to disappear.
 
Like Flo, I have been largely absent lately. Not playing bass a great deal and building an online community website for Star Citizen players.

On facebook I am hardly ever online, too. Lots of focus on what I want to do and not so much on others... My online presence comes in the shape of my website and lots of people around the globe through Star Citizen. I hang out on Discord daily.

I do not own any Warwick basses because of falling in love with my Fodera NYC Empire jazzbass. That thing just seriously kicks ass. There's also the Zon Sonus and my own Hyperjazz. Bass playing will likely increase as summer is over... I will be around from time to time here.

And Flo, what can I say? Thanks for your guidance and wisdom bassbro. When I raged you remained calm and bringing reason. It's been an epic time with you at the steering wheel. Thanks and love ya.

Oh and @Hector , I am really happy with you around buddy. Thanks for stepping in!
