So my speakers turned up today, I ordered a club cab and a low cab but the low cab was damaged (just the cabinet, it sounds fine) in transit and as im in New Zealand it will be months before a replacement will get here. The shop has an extra Club cab in stock . My question is... The cabs appear to be identacle so if i swapped out the drivers and the little badge on the back would that be ok? Are the ports the same on both cabs? The shop has said i can do this but i just want to make double sure before i do it.

I will come bac with an answer to you. anyway, I would use this one, and wait for a new one to come. ;) you know, a damaged cabinet might have a damaged driver inside too...

Jonas Hellborg answer:
Basically yes. If they take out the coaxial CC driver and!!!! the crossover, then wire the LC driver straight to the connector its a LC

Thanks Flo! I had my first practice with the new rig last night and wow! the cabs were definitely the final piece of the puzzle. Hard to describe but amazing tone and presence. I used the low cab with the ding in the cab and it sounded fine. I also pulled the grilles of both cabs to check the port lenghts and they measured the same so i came to the conclusion the transplant would work. Thanks for your quick response and all i am waiting for now is the 5u matching Sleeve, Approx March next year. Good ol New Zealand ha ha

That's one good looking set up you got there! Cabs are definitely part of the HB sound. My Lo Cab got damaged during shipping too. I should say "dinged" because it changed nothing performance-wise. They used good plywood, so, I was able to sand down the corner and applied 2 coats of "Flex Seal". It covers torn tolex and HB cab/sleeve material almost perfectly! I took Just-a-wick's suggestion and put on the metal corners for added protection.
Congratulations again!

Wow! Great rig. Unfortunately I don't ever see Warwick rigs around this area. Can you tell me about your rig please?
