chromes on my fretted Thumb, is this a good idea ?

I haven't seen any. Rotosounds will fit fine. I tried tapewound strings and they were a pain to get in... too thick at the bridge and tuner. Rotosound flats and tapes worked fine... although the tapes were something else.
