changing necks 04/05 (4/8-string)

hey experts,

just seen a nice 05 streamer lx 4-string in sunburst and was wondering if i could replace the neck with the one from my 04 fortress 8-string?

Sell the fortress and find a luthier I would say. I would not sacrifice another bass to get a Streamer 8 string. And you could sell the neck of the Streamer to refinance the costs of the new neck. Best of all: you already have an 8 string neck which the luthier can use to copy.

Replace the Fortress trussrod cover with a Streamer one and never look down while playing it. There I fixed it!

I think there should be no problem if the neck joint is similar in both necks-bodies. Guess it would worth to try it.

if it works i'd have a beautiful 8-string lx with amber/black sunburst such as a classy black fortress with gold hardware
let's hope nobody bid on that bass...
