CCL 250 + A drop 5 string Vampyre

Guys, who have played this combination:

Drop A 5 strings with Warwick CCL 250 ND4 (4Ohm) combo?

Tested, I like it, anyway it was just a quick test.

My concern is how it handle lower 5 strings tuning?

I sow specs, it's stated frequency range: 45Hz-3000Hz
Isn't to high for a low A, which is ~27Hz ?

I think that combo with a 15" speaker could handle that low A string. I´m no expert, though.
 
:) 15" speaker was mine reason too to think that it will handle
 
Well, 15" speakers go fairly low so could work, but I did not play that combo, so I can't promise :)
 
So I've bought it.
It works pretty well with open B (A tuned) string.

Much muddy than last small 1x10", but works well for not high speedy rhythms.
And it's sound better for modern styles, than jazz for example.

I bought it with another Celestion 15" speaker. So thinking to build a second 15" cab.
 
nice to hear that it works for you :) If celections are not available deltalites might be an option check out the sound samples :)
 
And last think, it works not so well with distortions, as 10"
For example on 10" I could select the distortion at 75% till it gets too muddy, with 15" it's gets too muddy already more than 25-30%
 
Indeed, plus he cranks both amps to the hilt which tends to mainly distort the mix and leaves the rest reasonably ok. If you get the chance to try an multiband EQ on your amp, you can cut the frequencies down to where it does not muddy the tone. I prefer low mids to bass most of the time as too much bass makes my sound a bit too woolly.
 
Good tone on a dropped instrument is NOT about the lowest sub-bass frequencies!!!
In fact on stage you don't want to go much lower then 50-60hz or nobody will hear the kickdrum as you are swamping it.

All the definition in your tone is in the higher frequency range, even if tuned in F#.

Personally I would add an MXR 10 band EQ if I were tuned that low, to filter out everything from 40hz down. The speakers will use their energy in more sensible frequencies that way and will not flap out as easily.
