Help!-I have a Buzzard which drains batteries even when unplugged with the active off-it has done this since new and the guy in the shop said it thinks its still plugged in-I never got the chance to take it back for what was going to be "simple" to fix
Anyone help?

The only advice I can give you is... Remove the battery after your finished playing it. That's all I can say, besides buying a new jack or preamp (possibly pups too).

i had/have a similar problem with my Jazzman, check this thread out. I found the prob on mine but havent managed to fix it yet. some good advice on how to check your jack. Might hav had the Jack replaced by a noob like mine. hope it helps

Welcome to the forum Dave! This happens also when the ground and ring wires are revesed. Try to switch them if nothing else works, and see if it is OK.

I thinks thats what happened to mine, the jack "works" with the ground and ring wire reversed, the sound isn't affected, it just doesn't work as a switch. Another possible problem i have seen in non-wicks is the battery coming out of its cradle and the metal battery shorting out an earth wire.
