Have to vent...

Found a sweet '94 Fortress One 5-string and Warwick HSC on Craigslist yesterday. Agreed to buy it for the $500 asking price. I offered to pay and pick it up this morning, but got an email from the guy when I woke up saying he'd 'changed his mind' and wanted to play it more.

Keep in mind, he's a drummer and the bass has sat in his closet for 10 years unplayed (his words) since an old bassist of his gave it to him as loan collateral. I think someone called him after we made our deal and offered him more money than he was asking for it. Oh well.

I had the same thing happened regarding an SS2 2 weeks ago. i sent the money to a friend at that state and the seller backed out on the day of the deal. I was bummed out too.

That's ok. you will get another one soon. trust me. Been there many times and still I am in the lookout for the SS2 5er after 2 weeks but i am praying about it and doing all what I need to do and I know God will answer my prayer and help me get it soon.

The same exact thing happened to me on Craigslist, too. Except mine involved a Fortress Flashback and I believe the price was $700. I got an e-mail the day I was gonna go test drive it that said, "I want to keep this bass now." Oh well. What are you gonna do??

It happened to me too. I found this SSII 4 stringer beginning 90's for a very low price (450 euro's) i was the first to make a bid and it seemed to work out fine but then it went very quiet for a few days. next to that the seller emails me: sorry but i have sold it allready aaarrrgggg
