bulk string questions

Hey guys help me out if you can. I'm thinking about trying some kind of bulk strings to save on money and keep my sound as bright as I can.
anyone here ever buy the bulk bass strings? what I mean by bulk is.,
you buy one string and it comes in a pack of 6 or 12 of the same size.
but 4 packs and have 6 or 24 sets!
I priced a few on the net. comes out around $10 or so a set in the end.
I'm just getting tired of cleaning strings. boiling, soaking and whatever else. tired of going broke having to string up 4 basses every month and half with store bought strings.

When my local GC opened it up they had this same special by one set get 8 free (on bass) and on guitar get 12 free. we got a couple of sets but even though they sounded good they did not last a long time. good price for beginners and for just practicing.

When my dealer started distributing EMPs he had buy 1 set get 1 free and I got several sets for free like that but that is nolomnger around.

Yeah, I have the same dealer and got the same deal on EMP and Yellow Label strings, but as you said, the 2 for 1 deal is no longer available, so we all pay the same price now...
