Bucharest Tragedy

This is not a thread to discuss what happened. It's a thread to offer support to those we know who are or may be affected by this tragedy. I am thinking about everyone and their families and friends who died or lost friends and loved ones.

I know some of our Warwick brothers and sisters are from Bucharest, or nearby. Let's all keep them in our thoughts and offer support as two of them whom I've talked to already have lost friends in the fire.

Can our Bucharest and Romania crew check in?

We are all here for you and thinking about you.
 
Tragic. Laszlo informed us through FB. Haven't heard yet from Adrian or Florin. Please chime in when ready for it and till then, stay strong bass bro's.

As far as I know all Romanian Warwick forumites are OK. Not all my Xbass forumites are OK though... I know at least three fellow bassists with severe injuries, fighting to survive...
It was a local Band's album launch gig, so many bands joined the gig to support them.
Adrian Ciuplea is OK, he missed the show. His lead singer from Vita de Vie band survived. He was one of the last guys there, he was on the floor, other guys stepped on him running for exit, and they burned... His guitar player is OK too, with only a few burns.
Unfortunately not many good news from here. From the performing band both guitarists died, lead inger is in comma, my fellow bass player is really bad, but he survived. My partners from Guitar Shop Bucharest - Bassist Liviu Popescu is badly injured, Guitarist - Leo and his girlfriend- died... Many of them died together with gf's...
One of my friends - drummer Adrian Rugina died as a hero, he wend back to save more and never got out. Same happend with photographer Claudiu Petre, returned to save more, and he was last seen in an ambulance, nobody found him so far, he is missing.
And this is just a scratch from what happened last night.
My thoughts are with the victim's families, I hope no more will die next days, and I hope they will find my buddy Claudiu Petre... He has a blog, and his hashtag was always #findme
 
Doesn't happen often: I'm speechless. All in tears about the affected.
 
You can´t imagine how sad this news just made me feel. :(
 
That's the first I've heard. Terrible news and very sorry to hear florin :(

Sounds like management has some explaining to do

I'm really sorry to hear so much friends of you got affected, Flo. My sincerest condolences!
 
Just had a chat with an insider. You can't imagine the horror that took place there. People missing, 150 hospitalized still fighting for their lives which will never be the same if they survive, the families, the anger, the corrupt politicians bailing out. This is much bigger then a fire in a dance hall as it is reported by foreign media. Over 70000 protesting on the streets right now already because enough is enough, this situation is far from over.

My heart is with all those involved in the fire, their friends and their families. This is horror.
