Bubinga Truss Rod Cover

Fooling around with some bubinga scraps...made one for my Corvette. The snap-in part of my original plastic cover was getting loose and not staying in very well, so I thought I would try this....I kinda like it...gives it a bit of a "boutique" look.

More wood is good, right?

darken it a bit with some serious oiling to get it to match the body :-D

It actually matches perfectly...but the lighting and angles sometimes make it look to be a different shade. I can't figure out how to do any lettering on it, though...Laser engraving would be cool, but not sure if ayone around here does that.
