Broken cable need help

Hi can anybody help the negative lead from my battery has broken off and i have not got a clue were to re-solder it :(No response from Warwick please could some kind hearted person have a look for me 8) Corvette classic
 
A ground wire is usually soldered directly to the back of a pot (the flat round metal surface). Atleast in the cases of most of the basses I've worked on.
 
Thanks for your offers of help still in trouble has anyone got one of these that they could take the cover off and photograph ?
 
ok,I went & opened up a Rockbass with the 2 band eq & the black earth wire from the battery goes to the medium length tag on the input jack.
